GitHub CoPilot Powered By OpenAI's Codex

What Is OpenAI Codex?

OpenAI has developed an enhanced version of their OpenAI Codex, their AI system that autocompletes code based on a natural language input.  They are offering it in a private beta via their API beginning today, August 10, 2021. Codex is the framework that enables GitHub Copilot, which they developed and released in collaboration with GitHub about a month ago.  Codex is fluent in over a dozen programming languages.  It can now understand basic natural language instructions and execute them on the user's behalf, allowing it to create a natural language interface for current apps. Through their API, they are now encouraging companies and developers to innovate using the OpenAI Codex API.

What Is Github CoPilot?

GitHub Copilot is supported by the Codex API, OpenAI's latest AI technology. GitHub Copilot comprehends much more context than typical coding helpers. Copilot also utilizes the context you've given and creates code to match, regardless of whether it's in a docstring, remark, function names, or just the code itself. They are  working closely with OpenAI to make GitHub Copilot better at generating safe and reliable code as developers utilize it.

Below are some screenshots of what it can do in relation to sentiment, parsing expenses, and SQL.
