AI content generation software and chatbots have come a long way in the past two to three months. They have even made it to the point where normal people are talking about and using them. If you tested them in the past and was disappointed, you need to give them another chance. Here are five great alternatives you can try in addition to ChatGPT.
FactGPT is a new alternative to Chat GPT that was created by Longshot AI. It was released in January 2023 and they are even offering a free trial. Two things that make it stand out to me are its source citations and the ability to give it a URL or a keyword so it can use the CURRENT search results as a guide when creating your content.
FactGPT has two primary modes. You can provide it a keyword to target and it will scour the search results and use them to create extremely relevant content. Or you can provide it a website URL if you want it to be more specific. Both ways can work well.
I was impressed by the content it created, but I did notice it can get off topic and become less accurate the longer it goes. You can choose which sentences get added to the main editor after each generation which works perfect.
I really like the fact that it cites its sources as well. This is a huge feature, because it saves you time if you need to confirm anything it writes. Other alternatives and even ChatGPT leave you guessing and searching the web to confirm stats. You still need to fact check FactGPT, but the benefit is having the sources makes it much faster and possible to do so.
ChatSonic is an AI powered assistant that can help you perform text or image generation tasks. It is similar to ChatGPT in that it is a conversational AI chatbot, but it also has real time data such as text, images, and voice search.
ChatSonic is connected to Google Search just like FactGPT to help you create fresh and relevant outputs that are not possible with normal GPT-3 powered tools.
One big advantage that ChatSonic has is an API that you can use to integrate it with external tools.
Voice commands are a nice bonus for people who will use them.
Jasper Chat is very similar to Chat GPT and will make sense for any Jasper users, but anyone else will be better off using ChatGPT up until it becomes a paid product.
Currently Jasper Chat is free to use and does not use any of your credits. (As long as you are on the Boss Mode or Business plan.) They will eventually start charging for it, but don’t currently know when.

YouChat is an AI chat bot created by the search engine you.com. It sort of combines ChatGPT with a search engine. The main difference with it is being geared more toward providing answers, rather than creating content like the other competitors mentioned above do.
In addition to the common input and response, it has a Youwrite function which can generate text, answers, ideas, etc. This looks similar to standard AI tools powered by GPT3. It can generate an email, social media post, blog post, paragraph, essay, titles, etc.
Its nice that it allows you to search for images, video, news, maps, etc, just like a normal search engine. I suspect we’ll see Google release some AI driven or conversational features into their search results as well in the near future.
Chinchilla AI is a newer large language model (LLM) that was released by Deepmind in March of 2022. According to Deepmind, it uses less parameters, but more data to provide more accurate results from a model that is smaller than industry leaders like GPT-3 or Jurassic-1.
Unfortunately, Chinchilla AI is not yet open to the public. However, we wanted to include it because its something to watch out for since it may be able to provide better results at a lower pricepoint.
Yes, ChatGPT really is free, but that may change in the future. As of Janary 2023, Chat GPT is currently a free research preview, where OpenAI is using free users to test it and gather feedback. This is also an important thing to remember, you should not give it any sensitive info via a prompt. Engineers could view your prompts while trying to improve its performance.
